The Constitution on Sacred Liturgy says: "Mother church earnestly desires that all the faithful should be led to that full, conscious and active participation in liturgical celebration...Such participation by the Christian people...is their right and duty be reason of their Baptism." Sacred music a treasure of inestimable value and is holy because it adds delight to prayer, fosters unity and confers greater solemnity upon the liturgy.
